AMY ODDO

PRESIDENT – Amy served as the Executive Vice President of Platinum Training, a national medical education company with multiple bioskills facilities, since 2010. In this role she oversees the activities at all Platinum Training facilities as well as off-site event support. She is a co-founder of ABLE. She also serves on the Board of Parallel Innovations Labs in Henderson, Nevada, a non-profit support program for businesses focused on STEM related activities.

KELLEY BENNETT

As Director of Clinical Partnerships and Training & Education at The Global Center for Medical Innovation T3 Labs, Kelley leads the educational innovation needs of early stage feasibility medical devices, Bioskills training, the community outreach program and forge ties between academia, med device industry and clinicians . She has 25 + years of relevant industry experience in healthcare, research, and Bioskills.

Prior to joining T3 Labs, she spent 2 years at Georgia Bureau of Investigations, 9 years in the clinical setting as a surgical first assistant, and 11 years as an Operations manager for RTI Donor Services transplant services. She holds a BS in Human Services Management with a focus in Healthcare Management, a Diploma in Surgical Technology, and a Certificate in tissue banking. Kelley has been a member of ABLE since 2014 American Association of Tissue Banks since 1996, A board member of the Southeastern Medical Device Association Med Tech Women since 2016, and currently serves with the Medical Device Task force for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Over the past 7 years she has led and grown T3 Labs’ Training and Education Program, by incorporating and cobranding the translational services of T3 affiliates and the Georgia Biomedical Community.

ROBIN BOZARTH, A.A.S., CTBS

Robin is the Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager for the Medical Education Research Institute (MERI). Robin has been with MERI since 2003. MERI is a nonprofit medical teaching and training school/bioskills lab in Memphis, Tennessee qualified under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The MERI conducts state-of-the-art, hands-on educational courses for physicians, nurses and other medical professionals from across the country and around the world through their willed body donor program, Genesis, Legacy of Life. At the MERI, medical professionals are introduced to the latest innovations in medicine, and have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the most up-to-date medical techniques and technologies. The MERI supports research in all specialties by providing the sponsor with the most effective bioskills lab environments for achieving maximal outcomes for their studies. Robin holds an Associates of Applied Science Degree and is a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Tennessee. She is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) through the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) since 2012. Robin has served in the healthcare industry for over twenty-five years. She is a professional member of many societies and involved in many community based volunteer programs in her hometown of Memphis, TN. In her spare time, Robin enjoys traveling, scuba diving and spending time with her twin daughters, family and friends.

TERENCE MCIFF

Member – Terence is Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he holds the Neff/Wiebe Endowed Chair for Orthopedic Biomechanics. He directs the KU Orthopedic Research and Education Center. He has his PhD in bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow Scotland. His PhD research was performed at the AO Research Center in Davos, Switzerland where he also worked as head of the mechanical testing section. He received an MBA from Yale University. Terence conducts bioskills and research training for the KU orthopedic residency program. His center also provides bioskills training resources for various internal and external surgical groups. He teaches and works with students from a wide range of disciplines including Physical Therapy, Occupational Health, Medicine, Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering. His research is broadly focused with areas of work including infection, drug delivery, implant design and development, biomaterials, and spine biomechanics. Terence is a member of several professional societies including AAOS, ORS, ASME, and SFB where he serves on various committees. He is also a long-time reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

RADHIKA PARBHAKAR

Radhika graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering. She completed her M.B.A. at Grand Canyon University. Radhika holds the position of Manager, Clinical Education at Johnson & Johnson Institute. In this role she leads the coordination and execution of clinical education on Johnson & Johnson products and procedures. Radhika also performs assessments of external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Prior to her current role, Radhika worked with a Science Care where she was able to gain experience with specimen management and procurement. Radhika has 12 years of experience in the Bioskills industry including: specimen management, facility management, compliance, and medical device industry.

DEREK PUPELLO

Derek is the President & CEO of FORE. Derek has led FORE to national prominence in orthopedic research, education and innovation. FORE publishes dozens of clinical and biomechanical studies and educates over 1500 medical professionals annually. Derek founded the Florida InnoVation and Education Labs “FIVE Labs” in 2014 as an extension of FORE’s educational mission. Since opening in January 2015, the FIVE Labs facility has become one of the busiest bioskills labs in the US. FIVE Labs is a 15,000 sq ft facility located less than 5 minutes from Tampa International Airport which is consistently ranked as one of the best airports in the world.

Christina Strong is an attorney who concentrates in healthcare law and policy, representing numerous non-profit and provider organizations. as well as trade groups. medical societies. and individual providers and practices. Ms. Strong has particular expertise in the areas of organ and tissue donation for transplant, education and research. and has been closely involved in state and national law and policy development concerning donation, privacy, informed consent.

JAMI FIREK

Jami is the Education Programs and Live Workshops Specialist for the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Schaumburg, IL. In her role, she is responsible for all live learning activities for the ANESTHESIOLOGY MEETING. She works with physicians and simulation companies to create hands-on workshops, pretest and post text exams and enduring material on current situations facing the medical community.

PETER CARNEGIE

Peter Carnegie has led Minimally Invasive as the Chief Executive Officer for the last nine (9) years. Pete has 19 years of experience in minimally invasive surgery and clinical training program development. His robotic surgery experience spans 15 years, primarily in the area of cardiothoracic surgery. He also has clinical experience in minimally invasive and robotic urology, gynecology, general surgery, and ENT. In addition to these specialties, Pete has training program development experience in spine surgery (Mazor Robotics / Medtronic) and trans-esophageal echocardiography (ImaCor Monitoring.) By creating the thoracic surgery training protocols and by developing robotic surgeon experts like Dr. Mark Dylewski, South Miami Hospital and Dr. Robert Cerfolio from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Pete was able to bring the thoracic market to Intuitive. While robotic thoracic surgery was becoming one of the fastest growing specialties in the country, he refined and promoted the robotic aortic valve procedure featuring percutaneous and transapical valve technologies applied robotically through a port-only approach. Concurrently, he created a new training process for developing clinically independent sales representatives in less time. After starting MIS in 2010, he implemented the training program with Mazor Robotics. Mazor experienced a 10-month reduction (12 to 2 months) in the learning curve for clinical sales representatives while simultaneously improving clinical competence and execution. Currently, Beverly is the Vice President for Accreditation and Standards for the American Association of Tissue Banks. Beverly’s career path has included senior leadership roles at the American Red Cross for 25 years and 12 years for RTI Donor Services. She was a founding member of the Gift of Life Trust Fund of SC, a nonprofit organization helping families and recipients with financial and social support while awaiting life saving organ transplants and has served on the boards of Donate Life America and the American Association of Tissue Banks.
